After being inundated with beautiful Scottie dog designs from artists all over Glasgow, we held an artist selection event to display the shortlisted designs.

Sponsors of the trail were invited to come and view all the shortlisted Scottie dog designs, read about the artists and the inspiration behind each design, and ultimately choose their favourite three designs.

Around 40 of the Scottie dog designs will be taken forwards, and the artists will be commissioned to apply their designs onto the blank Scottie dog sculptures.

Scotties pop-up at the buchanan galleries

Lochie, the first of our giant Scottie dog sculptures to be designed and decorated, was installed at the Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow on Friday, and will be staying there for a while to raise awareness of the Scotties in the City trail.

Soon, a painting space for artists will open in the Buchanan Galleries too, where the selected artists can gather and bring their designs to life.

Call for sponsors, schools and community groups

We are still looking to connect with companies and individuals who would like to sponsor a Scottie and be part of this amazing project in support of Maggie’s.

We also have some opportunities for schools and community groups to adopt a wee Scottie sculpture to decorate. These smaller sculptures will be displayed as part of the trail too, then returned to your school after the trail.
