Banksie

Description

Banksie the Clydebank Scottie is dressed in staff uniform and adorned with vintage newspaper clippings and colourful wildflowers. The clippings pay homage to Clydebank’s rich industrial heritage featuring the Clydebank Titan crane, tributes to shipyard workers, Clydebank town hall, the Singer factory and its iconic sewing machines. Scottish wildflowers are strewn between, symbolising their traditional use in medicine, and also the enduring resilience of the Clydebank people. Adding a light-hearted touch, Banksie wears the familiar staff uniform of Clydebank’s Green Medical Practice, a nod to the dedication and compassion of the NHS workers serving the community today.
