Get involved

Join the community and learning programme and design and decorate a small Scottie, which will feature as part of our summer 2026 trail alongside the large sculptures created by professional local and regional artists.

If you would like your school, nursery or community group to be involved, please register your interest below and we will send over the information pack.

How does it work?

There are 60 small Scotties available for schools, nurseries and community groups to decorate through our community and learning programme, along with fun and educational resources.

We ask that groups fundraise for Maggie’s as part of the initiative, and we will share some helpful tips and ideas to support your fundraising.

The small Scotties will be grouped together as part of the trail and placed in educational and cultural spaces around Glasgow for everyone to admire.

Once the trail comes to an end, your sculpture will be returned to your group for you to proudly display.

For any questions regarding our community and learning programme, please email us at scotties@maggies.org

After signing up, your group will receive a small Scottie sculpture, a guide with recommended materials to use, a learning resource pack, and an invitation to our community and learning programme workshop, which will be held in early 2026.

The benefits of getting your group involved include:

  • a learning resource pack, including fun lesson plans centred around the trail and civic pride, and educational tools to teach children about Maggie’s support
  • an opportunity to fundraise for Maggie’s
  • seeing your small Scottie and others on display in museums and libraries in Glasgow throughout the summer
  • having your group’s name, logo, the Scottie’s name, and the inspiration behind the design on display next to your sculpture
